ABC Great Rivers Region Mission Update from Murrow

Joan Brown reports the following,

New Cottage for the Children:

We are still waiting on the state fire Marshall for his 2nd visit. We have everything finished he had asked us to do. Calls are still coming in from case workers with children in need of placement. We are getting staff trained and ready.
Prayers for financial support for this new cottage are needed!

Refurbishing the Old day Care Center into Cottage for Volunteers:

2.    Refurbishing and Repairs:
        Replace damaged gable ends on volunteer house ($300?).
        Replace carpet and kitchen floor Boys Cottage ($4,000).
        Replace carpet and kitchen floor volunteer house ($4,000).
        Replace roof volunteer house ($5,000).

3.     Volunteers needed :
        Volunteers to level ground and install water drain off porch of volunteer
        house - Floods.
        Volunteers to mow and clean debris around grounds (pond & field area)         youth groups and adults.
        Clear and fill area plant beds around buildings (summer cleaning).
        Build 12 box bed frames for volunteer house (already have mattresses).
        Volunteers for office - working on organizing permanent files of residents.

For setting up any of the above projects as a work project, please contact Joan Brown, at Murrow Indian Children's Home.

Funds for the above projects can be sent to the GRR and marked (Murrow Work Projects) or if a church would like to do a work project they can send Joan the funds or take the funds when they go to Murrow. If funds for a project exceeds the amount needed the funds will go to another work project.
