Window to The Internet: Your Browser

Available Browsers:

Some Strengths/Weaknesses

Firefox is the most streamlined of the browsers listed. It loads more quickly and doesn't take up memory that could be used for viewing web pages.

Safari was designed for Apple. It will be awhile before it is ready for Windows (unless of course you are a long-time Safari user.)

Opera initiated some features that have since appeared in Internet Explorer, Firefox and Netscape. Look to Opera and Firefox as leaders in innovation.

Opera's mini-browser for handheld pdas, phones, and pda/phones is a great tool.

Firefox has many, many add ons that the user can download and use. These range from video capture of those elusive You Tube videos to Flash and other players.

Netscape is closely tied into AOL. If you don't like AOL stay away from Netscape. In late 2007, AOL announced that it will no longer support or develop new versions of Netscape.
