Those who issue domain extensions (e.g. .org, .com, .net, etc.) added .mobi last year (mobi as in mobile). This past May these domains went on the market. Your GRR has registered www.abc-grr.mobi as a service to you.
Starting with the home page of the GRR Site, you will be able to use more and more of the pages of the site on your mobile device.
To prevent an inappropriate use of abc-grr.mobi that would embarrass users, our GRR, and Christian witness.
The "father" of the internet, Tim Berners-Lee, made a case against listing the new domain noting that it would bring great expense in time and financial resources to corporate and non-profit organizations. He argued that the world wide web consortium should, instead of forcing those with web sites to create new sites from scratch, urge the use of technologies that are already present (style sheets:CSS and CSS2) to format existing sites' pages on the fly so your pda, phone, etc. could receive and display the information quickly.
This is the path that the GRR attempted to take. Instead of creating a new site and doubling the expense in hours and resources to maintain it, we would use technologies, restraint and discipline
limiting the number of graphics
practice of "writing for the web" (Succinctly)
However, the needs of your mobile device - especially when not connected to the internet through a router-based connection, but through a cell-phone tower based connection - have caused us to start developing a parallel site within our main site so that you have less trouble finding the information you need and want from our site. This will start with the the home page and calendar.
